Prerequisites
Prerequisite skills
- Knowledge of Git and basic Git commands
- Knowledge of PHP and or Javascript and Drupal development
- Working with modern package-based development tools such as Composer or NPM/Yarn
- Using an IDE such as VS Code
- Creating accessible and secure user interfaces
- How to use the ASU Unity Design System

Prerequisite tools
- Git for code version control (How to install Git)
- DDEV to run a copy of your site on your desktop in a container (How to install DDEV)
- If you're on Mac OSX, we recommend Rancher Desktop to satisfy the Docker provider requirement. Note: Use of the popular Docker Desktop provider outside of the classroom requires a paid license.
- An Integrated Development Environment (IDE) such as VS Code or PhpStorm
- The Acquia CLI tool (ACLI) (How to install the ACLI) (Command reference)
Access
- Acquia Cloud Platform user login with access to one or more
- Cloud sites (ASU Enterprise hosting) and/or
- Site Factory stack environments.
- Code Studio.
Cost for this access
- It is expected that the cost for this access will start to be charged in Fiscal 2027
- The cost will be based on per code base and per user.
- No finalized pricing is available but the best estimate is around $2,000 annually per code base and per user.
