Follow our guidelines and learn more about submitting a redirect request for your website.


Getting started

Please review the following information before submitting the request:

  1. Ensure your asu.edu URL(s) are approved by the ASU Web Standards Governance Board. You can find the criteria and subdomain request form here.
  2. Select the right request type. (See more on each request option below.)

Request types

Redirects

You'll choose from two types: www or vanity. Here is what you'll need:

www

  • What is the source path? (www.asu.edu/sourcepath)
  • What is the destination URL?

Vanity

  • What is the vanity URL you want to use?
    • Note: Vanity domains are used for marketing materials or short links. It is not what users see in their browser. The users will see the destination url in their browser
  • What is the destination that users are being redirected to?

Cloudflare global CDN caching

What you'll need to submit:

  • What is the current hostname?
  • What is the current hosting platform?
    • Note: If it is ASU Pantheon, we don’t offer Cloudflare. Pantheon uses Fastly as Cloudflare equivalent. 
  • What is the technology behind your site (Drupal, Wordpress, Lambdas, etc.)?
  • What is the cutover date?
  • WWW url (must start with: https://www.asu.edu/…)
  • Real IP address
